Heavy Metal Detox with Cilantro

There are particular toxins in our body holding us back from feeling our best – heavy metals. They can cause symptoms like lack of concentration, depression and memory loss, also gut issues, fatigue, anxiety, several aches and pains and much more. Most of us have them to a certain amount in our system.

 

But how did they get there in the first place?

 

Some ways heavy metals like mercury might find their way into our body are the water we drink, the food we eat, the chemicals sprayed in our home or office. But just being outdoors can already expose us to such substances. Even if we didnt have any direct heavy metal exposure through our life – which would nowadays be highly unlikely – we can still have them in our system. There can be part of our genetic predisposition, passed on from previous generations throughout our family line.

 

No need to panic though! With some powerful plant foods, we can support our body to safely detoxify such heavy metals. Our rewards for the effort? So much more health and vibrancy in our life.

 

One of those is cilantro! This herb is particularly great in helping our body to get rid of heavy metals like aluminium and mercury. I personally love to include fresh cilantro into my dinner salads – I often put a whole bunch of it into my mixtures. On top, you can also add it to any other savoury dish and even to your sweet smoothies. 

 

This smoothie recipe totally rocks the cilantro:

– 1 mango

– 1 1/2 cup pineapple

– 1 cup blueberries

– 1-2 tbsp fresh cilantro (add more if you like it)

 

For this smoothie recipe, simply put everything in your blender and mix well until you get a smooth texture.
